Catch that wave I mean it

On the summit of racing and performance, we aim to compete with the clock and ourselves, perhaps we offer a friendly smile passing our comrades whilst overrating power watts, maybe we share the pain in our legs that is shaping the experience of the journey, we aim to help others and yet winning among all of them, we wake up to an endless physic training as if fitness was the medicine of our sorrows, and I wonder why we become so obsessed in covering distances in the shortest time possible, planning every journey as if there isn't a nap to take under a fruitful tree, not a cup of tea or biscuits? Only protein bars? Time is so scarce that we become to fraction the seconds we use to digest a meal, and I wonder if we are really taking the time to think, what is important to us?
